NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS (NANS) RESTORE SANITY ON CAMPUS CAMPAIGNS OFFICIAL FLAG-OFF.
The Flag-off of this program me was held on Tuesday, 5th October, 2021 by 10:00am at the Main Auditorium, Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja. It was attended by Students and elites of different field of endeavor who served as special Guests of honor.
Of great interest, Prof. Naomi Nari James-Rugu also served as one of the Guests of honour and a Keynote Speaker. She delivered a scintillating Keynote/Lecture on Examination Malpractice and Flagrant violation of School Rules and Regulations.
There was an ovation when the Citation of the Academic giant was read.
Firstly, she started by Appreciating God for His immeasurable love, protection and provision. Furthermore, she elucidated on the relevance of Education, Forms of Education, attributes, types of attributes, need to posses Positive attributes for one to succeed. She reiterated that adherence to School Rules and Regulations should be the watchword.
Furthermore, she highlighted on Malpractice, Forms of Malpractice, process involved when caught in Examination Malpractice. She also highlighted on Disadvantages of engagement in Exam Malpractice. She outlined the Positive attributes of Students who never engage in Exam Malpractice.
She called on thee Students to emulate this category of Students who know the importance of education and are ready to be achievers through hard work and not cheating.
Additionally, in her indept in Lecturing and Mentoring, she advised that Students should desist from acts that will ruin their lives and she always go to the Lord in Prayers and always ask God for mercy since we are all sinners.
Emphatically, she stressed the importance of Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) in Higher Institutions and recommended the need to establish it, because it bridges the gap between the Students and the Institution, and it helps the Parents to monitor the performance of their children children/wards among many others.
Lastly, she gave some strong recommendations to the Students, Executive Council Members of NANS, Parents and Government.
It was indeed an educating, rich and beneficial event. Thank you Ma for making us benefit from your pocket, filled with broad spectrum of experience and knowledge.
