CONFERMENT OF AWARDS DURING WOMEN ACHIEVER’S DAY CELEBRATION.

On Friday, 4th April, 2025, the Centre for Gender and Women Studies of the University of Jos celebrated Women Achiever’s Day at Crispan Suites and Event Centre, Jos, Plateau State. The occasion was well organized and was graced by creame de la-creame of the Society.

Various Awards were conferred on some Women and Men who distinguished themselves in various fields of endeavor. The Awards were categorized into Ten (10).

Friends, I’m delighted to inform you that I was one of the awardees conferred with an Award in Category 3 tagged “Legacy of Excellence Award. This Award is for Professors who have served the University of Jos for over thirty (30) years and have attained the status of Professorship for over twenty (20) years. It is important to state that three (3) other female Professors were also conferred with the Award in Category 3. The Award was presented to me by the Vice – Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof. Tanko Ishaya.

Friends, I am indebted to the LORD Almighty for this recognition. It is because of God’s faithfulness and His grace that this Award has been conferred on me. To this end, I dedicate the Award to Him and may His name be glorified. Please friends, join me in giving Him a clap offering.

Additionally, I congratulate all the awardees from the different categories and urge them to keep up the good work!
